Kristel Kovner is a Los Angeles-based writer focusing on female-driven stories through a philosophical lens.
She is a Best Shorts Award winner for writing and producing the film Where We Start From.
Her screenwriting work has been an official selection at the Berlin Independent Film Festival during Berlinale, the International Festival of Cinematic Arts, the California International Film Festival, the LA Indie Film Festival and the Tucson Film & Music Festival.
Her editorial writing has been published in Mother Mag and LA Canvas. She received her BFA in Creative Writing and Film & Media Studies from Pepperdine University in Malibu.
